Outcomes / Benefits
Automated production planning instead of manual scheduling
Faster reaction to changes in orders, materials and equipment
Fewer stoppages of critical equipment
Better machine utilisation and buffer control
Measurable planning decisions
Dween is a production planner who doesn’t go home at five.
DWEEN Plan is advanced planning and scheduling (APS) for process manufacturing. It automatically creates the production plan and recalculates it every time reality changes — a delivery is delayed, a batch is rejected, or an urgent order comes in.
In one system it performs the planning functions that normally require three: ERP scheduling, operations management and shop-floor execution. Your ERP stays the core business system, and each team receives only its own tasks.

DWEEN Plan schedule — fermentation and cleaning in place across ten tanks.
How does Dween work? Simple.
No new machines, no ERP replacement. Dween reads what your systems already know and gives back a plan the floor can run.
Receives orders, recipes and rules
Orders and deadlines from the ERP, equipment capacity, preparation and changeover rules, material readiness.
Solves batching and sequencing together
Most planners group first and schedule second. Dween decides both at once — that is where the savings are.
Hands the plan to the shop floor
Every team receives only its own tasks, at the level of detail that team needs.
Re-plans when reality moves
Material delayed, batch rejected, equipment down, urgent order inserted — the plan is recalculated and the teams are notified.
The plan becomes tasks, not another document
The plan is calculated centrally and shown separately to each department. Same plan, different levels of detail.
Preparation
Which steps come next, and in what order.
Production lines
The current order, the next one in the queue, the planned start time.
Quality
What must be approved or rejected.
Warehouse
What to supply and when, so the line does not stop.
Planning
The full plan and every exception in it.
Management
Risks, costs and performance indicators.
Planning based on real constraints
The plan is calculated from measurable constraints, not from judgement alone. Every rule stays configurable and visible.
| Constraint | Handling | What Dween considers |
|---|---|---|
| Capability | Hard | Which machine can produce which product, which preparation step must come first |
| Capacity and availability | Hard | Line availability, machine capacity, material readiness, shift coverage |
| Deadlines and priority | Hard | Order due dates, customer commitments, which order outranks which |
| Changeovers | Cost | Which transitions to avoid, which orders to group so setups are not repeated |
| Buffers between stages | Cost | How much intermediate stock is allowed and how much value it ties up |
| Downtime and delay | Cost | Stoppage cost of critical equipment, cost per minute of lateness, idle capacity |
One system instead of three
The planning functions normally split across ERP, MOM and MES run in a single model of your process, so nothing is entered twice and no two systems disagree about the schedule.
Mathematical optimisation finds the cheapest feasible sequence.
Rule-based production logic keeps your own constraints intact and visible.
AI-supported recommendations and scenario comparison for the decisions people still make.
Six months from contract to automated planning. Your ERP untouched.
Stage I — Data reading and integrations
DWEEN DataHub installed and configured, data sources connected. Up to 2 months.
Stage II — Dashboards and data preparation
Interface and dashboards, historical data quality check, logbooks digitised, current planning logic inventoried. Up to 1 month.
Stage III — Automated planning
Planning algorithms built, calibrated in real production conditions and integrated with your systems. Up to 3 months.
What we need from you
A server for DWEEN DataHub with maintenance access, network configuration to your systems and to DWEEN Cloud, and confirmation that the planning data can be read.
How will we measure success?
Planning decisions stop being a matter of opinion. These nine indicators are agreed with you before the project starts, and DWEEN reports them from the first solve onwards — every recalculation writes them to the dashboard.
For industrial companies
Send us a month of orders and your line data. We will show you what a calculated plan looks like next to the one you run today.
